Gear pumps
These equipment’s perform the process of increasing the pressure and pumping the fluid by moving the gears and trapping the fluid between the teeth of the gear and then transferring it. Gear pumps are divided into two categories and general designs including external gear pumps and internal gear pumps. It is possible to use gear pumps for pumping any kind of viscid fluid such as glue, bitumen and asphalt and dilute fluids such as water, oil and solvents. Also, these pumps are used for lubrication of various systems, fuel transfer, oil and gas. It should be noted that gear pumps can pump all kinds of hot oils, industrial lubricants and all kinds of fuel in different systems. It is also possible to use them to transfer sticky liquids, alcohol and polymer materials.
Rotary valve
Rotary valve is a valve consisting of several rotating vanes, each vane holds a certain amount of fluid. Then it is transferred at a controlled speed. These valves are pneumatic type to control and measure the flow of granular or powder with the ability to move dry to slightly sticky products. Also, the rotary valve is used in the passage of materials from one equipment to another with different air pressure. In other words, by means of the rotary valve and preventing the transfer of pressure between the equipment, the pressure drop is minimized. On the other hand, it is also used as airlocks and process isolators.
